In this thematic edition, we invite academics, researchers, and public managers to submit articles exploring the theme "Geoinformation in Environmental Studies: characterization, mapping, and solutions for Rio de Janeiro’s reality."

This edition welcomes articles that present methodological and empirical contributions on environmental changes in Rio de Janeiro’s landscape, climate impacts and quality of life, monitoring and analysis of extreme events, as well as mapping and characterization of urban greenery and its ecosystem services.

It is now possible to submit articles for the continuous flow issue of the second semester of 2025. Papers will be accepted for possible publication still in 2025 (depending on the review process) until October 31, 2025.
