Abstract
The results of recent economic surveys conducted by the IBGE in the city of Rio de Janeiro, produced through a partnership with the Instituto Pereira Passos, show a trend of recovery in activity indicators after a period of contraction in the second half of 2001. In terms of employment, production, and income, the indicators reveal positive performance, especially in the services sector, which is reflected in the overall results.
