Tourism Economy of the City of Rio de Janeiro - 2003

Abstract

Aware of the need to create a reliable information base on Tourism, the City Hall of Rio de Janeiro, through the Special Secretariat of Tourism, signed an agreement with EBAPE-FGV in March 2004 to create and maintain the Tourism Economics Research Program for the City of Rio de Janeiro. The objective of this agreement was to collect existing research and data on the tourism economy, process and analyze them, as well as identify the need for new research.
