Abstract
Many of the problems reported by families in Brazilian capitals could be minimized if the basic principles of environmental comfort were respected, which emphasize respect for climate, topography, wind direction, sunlight exposure in environments, ceiling height, and the minimum size of rooms. Today, the FBS is also seen as an important tool for better understanding social reality, with a focus on aspects related to the phenomenon of poverty.
