Resumen
El desarrollo de las políticas ambientales en Brasil ya no es solo prerrogativa del gobierno. La sociedad, preocupada por el futuro, se ha estado manifestando continuamente, creando asociaciones de protección de la naturaleza y promoviendo movimientos populares para la defensa del medio ambiente. Además, este siempre es un tema destacado en los medios de comunicación (Dorst, 1973).
